These levels of disaggregation align with international and Canadian standards for sex- and gender-based analysis of health data.37–41 Depending on local decisions for programs to collect or link with other data, analyses can also include other significant social strata of risk, including human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) status, persons experiencing homelessness, persons with limited labor participation and/or high-risk occupations and persons currently or recently incarcerated.
